We went to StoryLand in Glen, NH on July 1, 2004. We arrived before it was open. It was not crowded at all throughout most of
the morning. We summised it was because it was the week before the long July 4th weekend so most people were not traveling. The children has a terrific time. The weather was terrific and everyone was well rested.
Abby loved all of the rides. She even went on the Polar Coaster twice. Sam liked the tamer rides like the Pirate ship and the Safari ride. On thing that surprised both Bob and I was that Sam wanted to go on the Crazy Barn, a ride that lifts a barn way up in the air and spins around while doing this. He would go on the Crazy Barn but would not be coerced to go on the Great Balloon Chase. Go figure. To see a more pictures of the rides at Storyland click on the Crazy Barn to the left.
Bob and Sam got to be in the play The Spider's Web that we attended in the Tales of Wonder Theater. The actors chose Sam to play two rolls. He got to be a log first then a mouse. Bob got to "fly" in and be the wise owl that saves all the woodland 
animals from the spider. A most entertaining production.
We had a picnic lunch in the picnic area by The Old Woman's Shoe. We brought our own lunch but the food concessions at the park were very reasonable. After lunch we explored some more and around 1:30 we had all had enough and went back to our condo for some much needed rest. It was a great day.
