Bolvin Family

Bob and I were married on August 8, 1998. We were married at the United Methodist Chuch in North Anson, ME.

Our flowers were yellow roses, white stephanotis and ivy. The yellow roses symbolized joy and happiness and the stefanotis symbolized happiness in marriage. The ivy symbolized fidelity. Our colors were pale yellow and forest green. We were joined by a small group of about 40 friends and family. Barbara Toner of Fairfield, ME was the Maid of Honor and John Dennett of Louden, NH was the Best Man. My brother, Robert Potter of Harrisburg, PA gave me away. Rev. Bill Meyer officiated.

During the ceremony, we each had one of our sisters do a reading. Cheryle Potter of Revere, MA spoke first. Judi (Bolvin) Dunphy of North Anson, ME read second. Also Barbara and John had readings. It was a lovely ceremony if not scorching hot in the Church. The end of the ceremony did not bring relief to the wedding party. It seemed the pictures after the ceremony took as long as the ceremony itself. We did get some nice pictures of our families. My family is to the right (l->r Cheryle Potter, Opal Potter, Myself, Bob and Robert Potter)

Bob decided not to get a whole family shot with all his sisters and just wanted his Mom and Dad. This picture is to the left (Robert Bolvin, Myself, Robert L. Bolvin, and Betsy Bolvin). Bob was tickling his mother's ear between takes but got caught on film.

Our reception was under the tent overlooking the Carrabassett river on the property of Bob's grandmother. We all had a great time.

After a long day, Bob and I went to New Hampshire for several days of rest and relaxation.
